Yuni and Matt’s Wedding Fundraiser

Yuni and Matt were married on December 31st, 2020

With our shared love of restoring the beauty of the ocean we are asking for donations to the Misool Foundation rather than receive wedding gifts. We have chosen Misool Foundation as its work supports the conservation of some of our favourite ecosystems and animals and supports local communities in Indonesia by building capacity and creating jobs.

All donations are fully tax deductable.

Why the Misool Foundation?

Misool Foundation is an Indonesian non-profit that has been operating for 10 years. From its base in Raja Ampat, Misool Foundation’s mission is to safeguard the future the world’s most biodiverse reefs and the communities that depend on them.

In South Raja Ampat, Misool Foundation manages the 300,000-acre Misool Marine Reserve (the size of all five boroughs of New York City combined!)

This reserve is a safe haven for manta rays, sharks and turtles and is home to over 75% of the world’s known coral species.

The reserve is protected by a 15-person, locally staffed Ranger Patrol. Meet one of those rangers, Ahmad, and find out more about his work in this film from The Economist.
